Asbestos contaminated land can be challenging. If you’re looking to develop on land contaminated with asbestos then you’ll need to ensure it is made safe before you can start development. The asbestos land remediation process
We start by undertaking a full asbestos survey of the contaminated property. The results of the survey will show what areas are contaminated and with what type of asbestos. By undertaking a survey it ensures that we will only need to remediate the contaminated areas of the land, saving unnecessary expense.
There are varying degrees of contamination such as loose asbestos which requires a more straightforward ‘litter picking’ approach to safely dispose of the asbestos on the site. However if the ground is contaminated with a lot of asbestos dust then it may be necessary to remove and safely dispose of the contaminated soil.
We’ll work closely with your site team to minimise disruption and handle the safe disposal of all asbestos and contaminated soil.
Once the remediation is complete we’ll undertake a final check to ensure the asbestos removal was successful and provide a certificate to show that the land has been safely remediated.
